Fall Fest Fundraiser

On Saturday November 3, Community Lodgings’ Girls Mentoring Group hosted a fundraiser for our Alexandria-based nonprofit organization. Through a months-long effort of coordinating games and activities, the group raised $1,213. Over 50 individuals attended the event, purchasing tickets to participate in various activities such as “Needle in a Haystack”, Relay Races, and to purchase food and drinks as well. Young ladies enrolled in Community Lodgings’ Group Mentoring Group created custom t-shirts and baked goods to sell at the event. They also succeeded in converting our Family Learning Center into a truly frightening Haunted House, which was a hit with kids in attendance.

The Fall Fest Fundraiser’s proceeds will support future mentoring group activities and outings. Five mentors and seven teenage mentees from the Arlandria-Chirilagua neighborhood take part in mentoring activities each week.
