Pull out your red pen and circle this important date on your calendar: Wednesday, April 25th. Yes, it’s time for Spring2ACTion!
Community Lodgings (CLI) is excited to once again participate in Spring2Action, a 24 hour online fundraising event hosted by ACT for Alexandria. This event helps local Alexandria charities like CLI to raise money and awareness of our mission and programs. Events such as these online fundraisers are becoming an increasingly more popular way of raising money, especially in the modern day when everyone is glued to their phones. It has become the most successful way of raising money.
Last year, donors like you helped us to raise nearly $15,000, and secure two matching gifts provided by our friends at the Mason Hirst Foundation and Hess-Collins Fund. The money raised went toward providing afterschool and summer learning programs for disadvantaged youth and providing long-term housing and supportive services to families moving out of homelessness. Our goal for this year is to raise or exceed $15,000. Please consider a donation of $30 or more in honor of our 30 Year Anniversary. Bookmark our Spring2Action page (https://www.spring2action.org/organizations/community-lodgings-inc) and plan to make your donation on April 25th. Early giving begins on April 11th for those of you who like to get a head start!
Your support will allow us to continue to meet the needs of homeless and low-income families through safe housing and services such as job counseling and budget mentoring. Because of your generosity, children from low-income households will receive the educational support they need to succeed in school and have a stronger future.
If making a positive impact where you live is important to you, please donate on April 25th and help us spread the word about this event. Use the hashtag #spring2ACTion to share news of your support and inspire others to follow your lead. Want to learn more about how your donation makes a difference?
