Have you seen the new butterfly wall in Old Town Alexandria?
Now through September 8, you can be the change as part of Tasha Wahl’s Butterfly Effect, a global public art and philanthropy project.
Vice Mayor Elizabeth Bennett-Parker learned of the movement on Instagram, applied for the opportunity to bring a mural to Alexandria and was selected by Ms. Wahl earlier this year.
The mural is located at on the side of Bloomers at 924 King Street and here’s how YOU can be the change and help Community Lodgings!
Through September 8, take a picture with the butterfly wings and select Community Lodgings to receive a $5 donation, with funding provided by Ms. Wahl and an anonymous donor through ACT for Alexandria. The charity with the most people selecting it will also receive an additional $500 donation.
